prodlint is free, open-source software under the MIT License. Use it however you want. It comes as-is with no warranties.

prodlint is distributed under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and distribute it for any purpose, including commercial use.

No warranty

prodlint is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It is a static analysis tool that uses pattern matching to detect common issues. It does not guarantee that your code is secure, production-ready, or free of bugs. A clean prodlint score does not replace a proper security audit.

Limitation of liability

In no event shall the authors or contributors be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of prodlint or this website.

This website

prodlint.com is an informational website for the prodlint project. It does not require an account, does not process payments, and does not collect personal data beyond standard server logs (see our Privacy Policy).

Site Score

Site Score at prodlint.com/score analyzes publicly accessible website files (robots.txt, llms.txt, ai.txt, sitemap.xml, etc.) and HTTP headers to score AI agent readiness. It does not guarantee compliance with any standard and is provided as-is. Scan results are not stored on our servers.

Scans are rate-limited to 5 per minute per IP address. Exceeding this limit will result in a temporary block with a Retry-After header. Automated bulk scanning or attempts to circumvent rate limits constitute a violation of these terms.

The badge feature (for embedding scan results on your site) generates dynamic SVG images based on live scan results and is provided for informational purposes only. Site Score and badge scans only access publicly available files and HTTP headers — no authentication is attempted and no private data is accessed.

GitHub Action & MCP Server

The prodlint GitHub Action and MCP server are distributed under the same MIT License as the CLI tool. They are provided “as is” without warranty. The same limitations of liability apply.
